RIP ROOM

On March 29th of 2002, we lost one our favorite regulars, Carmine Ralph Depascal, aka Rip, who passed away at the age of 85. Rip was a highly respsected coach, friend and father who was both a mentor and role model for several generations of Tucsonans. One of those rare individuals who had no enemies, Rip had a great sense of humor, and truly loved his fellow man. Anyone whose path he crossed couldn't help but be deeply moved by his humanity, his spirit and his no-nonense attitude about life.

Rip was a sports fanatic and loved to hang out at Putney's to watch games with his friends, and discuss every detail, before and after. We were so moved by his passing that we decided to name a unique spot at Putney's in memory of him. Accordingly, there's a special room where people like to hang out, for parties, dinner, and just for fun. We call it our RIP Room.
